nerea martinez de lecea is an interdisciplinary artist working in photography, video, installation, multimedia and drawing. in 2010, she won the award for fine art at the national eisteddfod of wales with ‘untitled’, a video + series of digital prints. her latest works are described as digital paintings. the paintings are meticulously created through creating a palette of flat colour on the ‘page’ + using a brush tool to add, remove, blend + paint the image in multiple layers, building up the image much as a 'real' painter would
